In 2012, my mother was diagnosed with a debilitating form of dementia. Alarmed at the fast digression of her mental state, I gave her a journal with hopes that she would write the story of her life - while she still could. I desperately wanted this as a keepsake and a written legacy to share with my family. Unfortunately, my mother refused to accommodate me. If only she had realized that sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly in her life would give her peace, closure, and healing, it would also help her family overcome similar struggles. After my mother died in May of 2014, I was left with an emptiness and the sad reality that the story of her life, told only as she would be able to tell it, would be lost to me, and her family, forever. Ten months later, my father died as well. 

After losing my parents, my fascination with the story of people's lives became even stronger. This eventually led me to memoir writing which allows me the privilege of helping others share their amazing life stories. You see, everyone has a life story to tell. And as a writer who is passionate about life and those who live it, I can’t think of anything more satisfying I'd rather do than to help you tell yours.

My beloved Language Arts teacher would be so proud to learn that my passion for writing has now become my profession. But even more so, I consider it a blessing to present you with the opportunity to create a keepsake and written legacy of your own which will become a priceless heirloom your family and friends will remember you by, learn from, and cherish for many years to come.
